The University of Fribourg teaches students techniques for working with people with physical, mental and/or psychological disabilities or behavioral disorders. The main objective is to improve the integration of these groups in social and educational environments.
Researchers within the university carry out events and booklets to present their results.

About the project
​
This video presents a study focusing the olfactory abilities of school-age children with multiple disabilities, including their ability to detect, locate, distinguish and prefer certain odors. The results of this research, carried out in collaboration with several organizations, aim to clarify the role of the sense of smell in these children's perception of the world, define appropriate educational objectives and provide guidance for olfaction-related practices.

About the project

This logo was created for the CEVPOL study, which aims to examine the knowledge, tools and services available for assessing functional vision and/or low vision in people with multiple disabilities. A systematic literature review identified the existing literature on this topic. In addition, the study surveyed specialized services in Europe and identified the most relevant tools for assessing functional and/or low vision in this population.

About the project

This booklet presents a participatory research aimed at exploring the barriers and facilitators to voting for people with intellectual disabilities in four cantons of French-speaking Switzerland. The results of this study are intended to identify best practices for promoting the political participation of people with intellectual disabilities in French-speaking Switzerland.
